Meanwhile the drizzle disappeared and it looked like the sun was trying its utmost to shine from behind all the clouds. So....we were luckily able to take off our rain gear. Now and then we could see a glimpse of the mountains surrounding us. After a few km' s we arrive at the Vordere Sulztalalm, a hut at an altitude of 1898m.



The weather is still improving and after a short break at this idyllic place we decide to follow the track a bit further. Some Alpenroses (also called snow-roses or even better Rhododendron ferrugineum) already are flowering.



It is still overcasted but nevertheless we can see the beauty of this area. It must be awesome when there are no clouds at all, that is for sure. Finally we reach our goal, the Amberger Huette (2136m).





The view from this hut is astonishing. Just have a look at this picture.



From this hut it is about 1 hour to the Sulztaler Gletscher and we decide to give it a try. But already very soon we are stopped by huge snowfields still covering the track.



And believe it or not: suddenly the sun came out and that changed the scenery of course spectacular.



As we could not go further we decided to return and with one more look to this beautiful valley we say goodbye and we will be back for sure !
